As the page is going to reach 100.000 hits ,
after 5 month of existence I must say a few words.
Majority the page changes are not so big. I come to understanding with my firend njoy who is on the guistyles team lately. He helped me a lot by adding new posts.
The major difference is i add new posts only to category section. I didn’t support old menu. New posts are automatically added to category … sometime i manually add new posts to old menu …. but for now only category section is supported.
About number of visitors on my page …. well i look at another similar service witch is guikit and i see they have plenty of people who visit their site. In the past i have more visits that their page but when i was on holidays the page was not updated so many visitors was disappoint. Now guikit has more visitors that my page … sincerely numbers of visitors on my page recently is not so good.
So i think how to make my page more popular …. more people to make the page more lively.
Another difference is that i upload new great style ‘vista’.
But after consideration i think aqua skin must be the default skin because it is very much finish up.
This is only my opinion.
So if you have any ideas how to make page better, more popular ….
about default skin and new possibility just let me know.

If download link is not active this means that work you want to download is offline on deviantART or other site that host this stuff. Well…
1. I’m lazy but maybe Hard work
2. Maybe forum.
3. Maybe “the best screen of the month” or something like that - of course if it’s possible.
4. Maybe new engine. What do you think about Mambo or EZpublish? I think this site isn’t real blog and wordpress is a blog system.

About forum i don’t think it is good for now because i can’t see the page comunity that could give life to that forum.
“the best screen of the month†- - > the forum would be a great place for screen presentation because i didn’t find the proper plugin for wordpress to manage that idea
New engine …. hmm i think the first thing should be plan what power do i need for my site.

Another thing that bother me is that main skin for my page.
Unfortunately i am not good at graphics otherwise i would make my own unique theme for wordpress.
Also i should make proper banners, logo ……

Well I just need to reset my dev. blog and then I’m hoping to put a few quick finishing touches on my metal theme I had up a few weeks ago. Once that’s done I’ll put some work into a design for you.
I’ve started playing around with some mockups now…

Well i think the first thing is that new design should be original and should be lively, a lot of live colors….
The themes that i like are :

and that Vista theme.
But this is only an example.

I had been following your site update through my RSS reader. I am a Linux users, recently your post about Linux eyecandy are decreasing a lot. Mostly you post windows theme, icons or Wallpaper, wich is good (some times i found very nice icon and wallpaper).
As a linux user, i would recomend you to add the number of Linux candy post. Maybe you should read Art of Gnome for some new wallpaper or Icons, there are some new icon theme.
I agreed about original default theme. You need it, to make your site standout from others.

About that linux stuff …. the truth is that i use little linux …. so i don’t come with time with that new gnome (linux) themes…. also great linux designer bvc finish his adventure with that linux themes creation.
But i think with that new design i try to look into linux themes more

Well. the most importan thing why at guistyles is less linux stuff than for windows is that around are no good stuff for linux. for example wallpapers - for a long time at gnome-look or gnome.org or kde-look or other sites I heaven’t seen any good wall which was made by linux user. Yestarday I spent six ours for searching cool stuff for linux and nothing!
I found only new dropline icons. Thats all

Icons for linux are releases not very often.
Now you can see it is not only our fault.

It is not my fault that mac and windows stuff is better in that way.

Theming linux is much more difficult than win or mac. Flux is easy but ugly, fvwm…well, who wants to screw with that? By the time you get it looking good, you’re ready for a new look. KDE and Gnome? Well, they just aren’t there yet. I do have to say that most win stuff is poor in quality. Though they look great in screenies…they just are’nt usable and do not work correctly and drives me nuts! More isn’t necessarily better. Quality is better than quanity. In which case…go mac
